The boating season at Navajo Reservoir in Navajo State Park is open.
The aquatic nuisance species inspection station will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through April 30.
All motorized boats must be inspected to assure they are not infested with quagga or zebra mussels. Owners are asked to be sure their boats are cleaned, drained and dry before arriving. Non-motorized craft do not require inspection.
Boater registration must be current, and each boat must have a personal flotation device for every passenger. Boaters younger than 13 must wear the device at all times. A fire extinguisher and a sound-producing device are also required for each boat.
Daily passes cost $7 per boat, an annual pass is $70.
