As a mother of two young adult daughters, I am encouraged by the progressive ideas that Chris Bettin brings to the table as a candidate for Durango City Council.
My daughters are away at college, and I have given a considerable amount of thought as to where the journey will take them. My hope is that if they choose to return to Durango, they will find quality jobs, affordable housing and an inclusive, progressive community.
My hope is that it is actually feasible for young professionals just starting out to call the town where they were raised home again. I believe Chris Bettin has the creativity and thoughtful foresight to guide Durango in growth without losing its unique character.
