Ignacio library offering events

Ignacio Community Library has several fall and Halloween events this week.

10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, Open Art Studio: Come work on art projects with other local artists.

10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, No Carve Pumpkin Decorating Class: Transform a pumpkin into a "boo-tiful" Halloween decoration. Bring your own pumpkin and we will provide the rest of the supplies to paint, glue, and sticker a own one-of-a-kind creation.

4 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 16, Inklings: A book club for young readers in third through fifth grades where they get to participate in an exciting reading adventure and snacks! The book for this month is Barnum's Bones by Tracey Fern.

10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, Monster Storytime: Stories, songs, puppets, and more that encourage development of early literacy skills in young children. During the month of October come enjoy our storytime theme of monsters/Halloween.

2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, Teen Café: A place for teens, grades 6th - 12th, to relax with friends, play games, get homework help, and have fun. Every Wednesday at 2 p.m.

4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, Kidz Klub: Elementary school kids are invited to join us at Kidz Klub, where we will be exploring ghost slime, pumpkin science, popcorn hands, and more.

4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, Booklings: Our newest book club has a great book for this month, Mister Max: The Book of Lost Things by Cynthia Voigt. Sixth through eighth grades are welcome to join.

9:30 a.m. Friday Oct. 19, Walk and Talk About Books: Take a stroll with us as we chat about our favorite and not so favorite books. Meet every third Friday at the library to carpool to the trailhead where we will enjoy our walk. Weather dependent.
