End-of-life care for pets presented Thursday

“Saying Goodbye to a Dear Pet” will be presented from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.

Veterinarian Dan Parkinson, with TenderHeart Pet Hospice, will offer an informative overview of: Understanding the dying process in pets, Palliative care and hospice options, End of life decisions and euthanasia, and self-care during this difficult process.

The public, pet owners, veterinary and human care providers and anyone interested in end-of-life care for a beloved pet are invited.

Discussion and refreshments will follow.
