50 years ago: Residents overdid it Saturday in sprinkling their lawns overdid it to the tune of nine-million gallons of water. Consequently, there is to be no irrigation of lawns today. The one-day cutoff would give the reservoir a chance to recover.
25 years ago: When Len Anderson built an arbor at the Ignacio cemetery more than 50 years ago, he probably expected it would have to be re-built someday because of the wear and tear of time and the elements. But vandalism at the Ignacio cemetery accelerated the deteriorating process for Andersons arbor. Vandals tore away the lattice-work and tried to push the structure over.
