Three Springs Plaza to celebrate fall season

Annual festival returns Saturday to Durango
Attendees explore the pumpkin patch during the 2014 Three Springs fall festival.

The annual Three Springs fall festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Three Springs Plaza, 175 Mercado St.

The fall celebration, the largest event of the year at Three Springs, will offer free activities and entertainment, including a petting zoo, ring toss, pumpkin patch, neighborhood trick-or-treating, sack races, pumpkin bowling, costume parade, live music by Dave Mensch and more.

The “Plaza Play Place,” an area of activities that raises money for La Plata Family Centers Coalition, will be featured again this year. In exchange for monetary donations, activities in the designated area, including a cotton-candy booth, life-sized game of Operation, etc., will be open to participants.

Food, beverages and items at arts and craft booths will be available for purchase. Those who attend are encouraged to wear costumes for the parade.
