Man dies in northwestern Colorado reservoir

CRAIG — A 32-year-old man has died in a northwestern Colorado reservoir.

Witnesses told the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office that the man slid into Kenney Reservoir off the cliffs just before 5 p.m. Wednesday and did not resurface. Friends were unable to find him and flagged down a sheriff’s deputy.

The sheriff’s office says divers recovered the body of Francis Manu of Lakewood at about 8:20 p.m. Several media outlets reported that he was a student at Colorado School of Mines.

An autopsy was planned Thursday.
