Rasmus Bach and the 15th-ranked Fort Lewis College men’s basketball team got off to a 1-1 start on the road last weekend against top-shelf opponents. FLC also gave Division I Colorado State a scare Wednesday before falling 84-75 in an exhibition for the Skyhawks. Now, Fort Lewis is set to host the Skyhawk Classic inside the newly renovated Whalen Gymnasium, which features new bleachers and a fresh paint job. Adams State, Embry-Riddle and Northern New Mexico are in Durango for the Classic, which will begin at 5:30 p.m. Friday when Adams State takes on Northern New Mexico. Then, it’s Fort Lewis taking on Embry-Riddle.
