Bayfield couple announces engagement

Erin Faye Dunavant of Bayfield recently became engaged to Robert Franklin Trujillo of Silver City, New Mexico.

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald M. Dunavant of Bayfield announced their daughter, Erin Faye Dunavant, is engaged to marry Robert Franklin Trujillo, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Trujillo of Silver City, New Mexico.

Dunavant is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Truman B. Dunavant and the late Derrell and Rosamary Couch of Bayfield. Trujillo is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lamberto Trujillo of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Nokomis, Florida residents Gene Ryder and the late Mary Ryder and Werner Whitey.

Dunavant graduated from Bayfield High School in 1996 and is a 1999 Fort Lewis College graduate, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She was a former office manager at Performance Cardiology; has worked for Durango Urgent Care and Four Corners Heart Clinic; and currently works as the town of Bayfield finance director.

Trujillo is a 1994 Silver City High School and a 1999 Western New Mexico University graduate, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education. In 2002, he received a master’s degree in educational leadership from Western New Mexico. Trujillo is the principal of Sixth Street Elementary in Silver City, New Mexico.

An outdoor wedding is scheduled to be held Sept. 1 in Bayfield. Dunavant and Trujillo live in Silver City, New Mexico.
