Carbon fee garners conservative support

Finally! A climate change initiative that all conservatives can stand behind.

The Climate Leadership Council, headed by a group of esteemed conservatives (George Shultz and James Baker, among others), has come up with a non-punitive proposal that will go far to address climate change. They propose to put a fee on carbon and then to rebate money collected by this fee to taxpayers, so as to offset any increases in energy costs.

If we can agree that our kids and future generations deserve our best effort to provide them with a livable planet, then this conservative proposal is the one we must stand behind.

It is time to write our congressmen and urge them to support this initiative.

Climate change needs attention now, before practical solutions get out of reach. Please write and call your representatives.
