My compliments to The Durango Herald! On Sept. 16, I attended a meeting about the quality of water in the Animas Valley, and left the meeting about 8:30 p.m., and the Durango Herald published an article about the meeting that was in the next morning’s paper. I received that paper at 5:30 a.m., and I am impressed that an informative article can be written and published in such a short period of time, and delivered to my house in Hermosa in the early morning hours.
Then, on Sept. 17, I watched the Denver Broncos game, and it was over after 9 p.m., and the Durango Herald had an article in the next day’s paper about the finish of the game, and again, it was in my newspaper box before 5:30 a.m. Thank you for the timely news reporting.
On another note, I would like to thank the Ballantine family, and especially Richard Ballantine for all of the contributions they have made to this community. Again this week, I witnessed their generosity through a gift to a non-profit organization.
