25 years ago: “The Vietnam veterans memorial that the contractor remodeling the county courthouse stored for safekeeping near the alley behind Family Craft Memorials soon will have a new home. The local Vietnam veterans group will pay to move the monument to Riverside Park, a city park that lies adjacent to the Animas River behind the fire station.”
