Members of the Durango Natural Foods Co-Op are scheduled to vote Dec. 3 on whether to unseat the entire co-op board and install a new slate.
A packet of material for nominations can be picked up at the checkout stand at the store.
Nominations must be placed in the box in front of the store no later than 9 p.m. Oct. 26.
The election came about after members learned that current board members were discussing a possible merger with La Montanita Food Co-Op headquartered in Albuquerque.
Durango co-op members were upset that they had not been apprised of the talks. They think the much larger La Montanita would relegate them to junior-partner status.
