LONGMONT – A suspect in a reported break-in is dead after an officer-involved shooting in north-central Colorado.
Longmont Deputy Police Chief Jeff Satur tells the Boulder Daily Camera the shooting happened at about 4:30 a.m. Monday.
Satur said an officer fired a shot but investigators are still trying to determine if the officer’s shot hit the suspect. Satur did not say what else might have caused the suspect’s death.
Satur says the suspect, who has not yet been identified, had broken into an apartment.
