Stillwater Music announced the donation of $41,000 to the organization from the 2023 Columbine Golf Classic. The donation represents the majority of proceeds raised by this year’s fundraising event, which was held at the Glacier Club and Golf Course. An additional $25,000 that was raised was donated to the Fort Lewis College Women’s Varsity Golf Team, in partnership with the Nick Turner Scholarship Fund.
The Columbine Golf Classic brings together members from Durango’s area golf courses and clubs to hold an annual tournament, complete with both live and silent auctions, with the primary goal of supporting the community by donating money raised to a selected local nonprofit organization. This year, the event attracted 28 teams, with Stillwater Music being chosen as the local nonprofit recipient.
Stillwater Music is a nonprofit organization providing educational and performance opportunities for youths and adults by developing the skills, confidence and ability to play music.
