SGM announced Colorado School of Mines sophomore Kobe Prior, a Bayfield High School graduate, as one of the six Steve Westhoff Scholarship recipients for 2023.
Prior demonstrates a passion for engineering. The SGM scholarship committee was impressed with his dedication to his studies and helping his classmates. In addition, he demonstrates strong leadership skills by being named a resident adviser and the ability to prioritize his education along with work.
Prior will receive $1,000 to apply toward his studies.
