City crews work on a water main break at the intersection of 32nd Street and Main Avenue last week in front of north City Market.
Traffic began flowing normally on Main Avenue between 31st and 32nd streets Tuesday at 8 a.m. with the repair of a water main break.
The break occurred Dec. 1 just north of the bus stop at north City Market. Traffic was reduced to one lane.
City crews had to cap the leak and then replace two 12-foot by 17-foot sections of pavement. The replacement slabs had to meet Colorado Department of Transportation concrete pressure standards of 3,000 pounds per square inch.
The slabs passed muster at 3,200 psi.
