4 the Children is seeking volunteers to advocate for children and families in La Plata County. Duties include reuniting families through safe exchange and parenting time supervision.
4 the Children is an umbrella organization that oversees Court Appointed Special Advocates for children involved in the foster system and the Supervised Exchange and Parenting Time Program.
The SEPT Program is new to La Plata County as of September. It works with high-conflict divorce, domestic violence, and dependency and neglect cases through the courts to provide safe exchange and monitored parenting time.
The SEPT Program is seeking new volunteers to help with those exchanges and visits.
