CASA advocates for the best interests of abused and neglected children. A CASA is a volunteer assigned to a case within the Dependency and Neglect System to ensure the best interest of children. Volunteer tasks include CASA training, being sworn in by a judge, engaging with and observing children during visitation, writing court reports, making recommendations and attending monthly trainings.
The SEPT Program is designed to ensure the safety and well-being of children by providing a nurturing and safe environment for children and parents to do supervised visitation or exchanges. Volunteer tasks include supervising visits and exchanges, taking detailed and objective notes, creating a nurturing and safe environment and attending monthly trainings.
