416 Fire was preventable – by the train

The 416 Fire has devastated this region. The Herald should call for an investigation as to its cause. Why isn’t the EPA involved? If it was caused by the railroad, like other fires caused by embers from the train exhaust, the community should implement a plan to replace the coal-fired steam locomotives with diesel or another alternative significantly less likely to cause fires. People will still ride the train. Isn’t the 416 Fire an environmental disaster that is preventable?
