Police departments across the state fielded complaints about 4th of July fireworks, but few people were cited.
The Denver Police Department gave out 6 citations for illegal fireworks on Thursday – which is about on par with last year, according to a department spokesperson. They got 533 complaints.
Denver Health did not treat any patients for firework-related burns this year, said a hospital spokesperson.
