Steaks and plenty of fixings are on the menu Saturday for the annual steak fry at the Bayfield Lions Club.

The Bayfield Lions Club is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year.
On Saturday, the club held its annual steak fry, with members attending from the Durango and Cortez clubs to commemorate the founding of the Bayfield club in 1953.
Past presidents of the club in attendance included John Tate, Jim Sower, Dennis Baxter and George Knoll. Sower, who has been a member of the club for 54 years, gave a history of the club and the important role it has played in Bayfield.
All are welcome to attend club meetings at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at the Bayfield Lions Hall on Church Street in downtown Bayfield.
