San Juan County, New Mexico, has been awarded $750,000 to address Americans with Disabilities Act upgrades in 22 facilities.
The money will completely cover the cost of upgrades. The money was awarded through a Community Development Block Grant and will include changes to parking, signage, doors and general accessibility to the public-at-large and county employees. The increased accessibility will meet all ADA guidelines.
The list of facilities to be upgraded includes public buildings, some of which are used as polling places.

The projects will be put out for bid and awarded as soon as feasible. Construction will likely begin in early 2021.
