El Moro Spirits and Tavern and the Durango Bootleggers Society host a celebration of the Cullen-Harrison Act, which repealed alcohol prohibition and went into effect on April 7, 1933 – 81 years ago. Carver Brewing Co. in conjunction with Ska Brewing Co., Durango Brewing Co., Steamworks Brewing Co. and BREW Pub & Kitchen brewed the Spring Elixir for the celebration. Spring Elixir is a pre-Prohibition-style lager, said Brian McEachron, left front, co-founder of Steamworks.
