Rye Standifer, 5, gets a little help from her mom, Faith Standifer, and 6-year-old Orea Pollock while skating Friday at Chapman Hill Ice Rink. Students in the Durango School District had the day off Friday for a teacher-development day. Orea is the daughter of Patty Pollock and Randy Egner of Durango. Rye’s father is Kevin Standifer of Durango.
