On today’s front page of the Herald (July 30), I read where the city advised river raft companies to use an exit at the Ninth Street Bridge, just north of the current sewage spill. Horrifyingly, most guides ignored this recommendation and went through the contaminated area anyway! E. coli is no laughing matter! Any E. coli lawsuits would certainly get international coverage – as if Durango tourism has not been hit hard enough this summer. What kind of crapshoot is that on top of everything else?
