The Durango Business Improvement District encourages you to shop local this April, and you can earn a reward for doing so! BID’s Spring Rewards program is back with more spending levels and rewards.
BID’s first Rewards Program was held in December 2020, and since then we have successfully operated nine of these to reward and incentivize local shopping. In total, these nine programs have produced over $1.4 million in sales at local businesses.
BID’s next Rewards Program starts April 1. Spring Rewards will provide 200 people who shop at BID businesses in the month of April with a reward. To have a qualifying purchase, spend at least $25 at a BID business in Downtown or in the North Main District that is in any of these industries – retail, food and beverage, personal services, attractions and accommodations. A list of every eligible business is on the BID website at DowntownDurango.org/spring-rewards.
Save any receipt from an eligible business that is at least $25. When you reach a spending level noted below, you can submit your receipts to earn your reward. A maximum of 10 receipts will be accepted to get you to any of the spending levels.
Spend $250 to earn a $25 reward. Spend $400 to earn a $50 reward. Spend $650 to earn a $100 reward. Again, each receipt must be from an eligible business (there are over 350 businesses downtown and in the North Main District where purchases qualify) and each receipt must be at least $25.
To submit your receipts, simply take a photo and submit them at DowntownDurango.org/spring-rewards. BID’s Spring Rewards Program will end on April 30, or when all 200 rewards have been claimed, whichever comes first.
The reward that you can earn by shopping at BID businesses in April is a Heart of Durango Dollars gift card. This is BID’s new local gift card which is currently accepted at 60 of the best businesses in the Heart of Durango!
These businesses include: 11th Street Station, Carver Brewing Co., Cream Bean Berry, Durango Doughworks, Durango Joes north Main drive-thru, Eolus Bar and Dining, both Gardenswartz stores, Happy Pappy Pizza n Wings, Maria’s Bookshop, Oscar’s Café, Tippy Canoe, Urban Market and Zia Taqueria’s north location. Plus many more.
BID thanks Alpine Bank for once again being the presenting sponsor of BID’s Spring Rewards Program. Thank you to Eric Eicher, Beth Drum and all the team for your continued support. Alpine Bank has also agreed to be the presenting sponsor of BID’s Holiday Rewards Program this December. Thank you, Alpine Bank!
Please follow BID on Instagram and Facebook, and visit our website at DowntownDurango.org to learn more about the Spring Rewards Program. April is a great time to spend some of that tax refund if you got one at local businesses. It’s also a great time to get an early start on Mother’s Day and graduation shopping.
Keep shopping local, Durango, and let us reward you for doing so!
