Three-day music festival takes over Tico Time

Even though summer’s starting to wind down, there are plenty of music festivals ahead, including this weekend’s Four Corners Reggae Fest at Tico Time River Resort in Aztec.

Starting today (Sept. 3), emcee Rasta Stevie will guide festival-goers through three days of live music, DJs, communal bonfires and drum jams.

Scheduled to play are: The Gladiators feat. Droop Lion (Jamaica); Pato Banton and the Now Generation (U.K./ SoCal); Reemah – 100% St. Croix roots; E.N. Young and Imperial Sound (San Diego); Bobby Hustle (Washington); Gracie Bassie (Colorado); African music artists Micon (Nigeria), The Afrobeatniks (Durango) feat. Fara Tonlo (Guinea W. Africa), Dubbest (Massachusetts), Pacific Roots (Santa Cruz), The Mighty Kindread (Phoenix), Grassy Dread (Salt Lake City), Dre Z Melodi and 5th SON (New Mexico), Desert Fish (Tucson, Arizona); Niceness (Telluride); and Four Corners Rasemble (traditional Nyabinghi drum and chant).

There will also be food vendors (vegan, gluten free and omnivore friendly), drinks, and craft and artist merchandise vendors.

And for the kiddos, there will be a special area that will offer face painting, magic, games and parade costume making for a kids parade.

Day passes and a variety of other options are available.
