The false characterization of the National Rifle Association as an “extremist organization” is absurd. The Durango Gun Club should be allowed to require membership in the NRA – not just for the safety courses and basic gun awareness framework provided. The NRA has a long and proud history of gun safety and responsible gun ownership, with the training of civilians, law enforcement and military: essentially the all-American Boy Scouts of gun groups.
I’m guessing the current trendies and herd thinkers don’t really know their history. For example, the NRA armed and trained freed slaves to defend themselves against the KKK after the Civil War.
