Adaptive Sports Association will host the 2019 Growing Together Ability Summit from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at FLC, 1000 Rim Drive.
The conference is geared toward children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families and support professionals. Workshops will be presented on the topics of self-advocacy; brains and behavior; technology for independence; dance and music therapy; person-centered planning; local resources and more. A free public screening of the movie “Life Animated” will take place at 2:30 p.m. in the FLC Vallecito Room.
The summit is a collaborative offering of San Juan BOCES, The Arc of Southwest Colorado, Southwest Center for Independence, Adaptive Sports Association and Community Connections.
