Additional information to clarify protests

I thought I would provide some additional information to help Katherine Reynolds (Herald, Feb. 2) and any others understand why around 3 million Americans marched in protest to the election of Trump, and continue to protest.

The media did not make up the abhorrent things he said. He said them; I saw it, along with millions of other Americans.

He mocked a disabled person; bragged about grabbing women’s private parts; personally insulted anyone who disagreed with him; routinely lied; was delusional and ignored facts; denigrated Muslims; called Mexicans names; bragged about not paying taxes; praised Putin while dismissing his own intelligence agencies, etc.

And he continues to do this. His words and actions drown out the few conciliatory sentences in his acceptance speech.

The only “disconnect” is why people have chosen to ignore this person’s behavior. By any standards of human behavior, including those in the bible and espoused by Christians, Trump is a vile and repulsive human who does not share the values this country was founded on.

As to all the Christians that voted for him...you know what your book says about condoning such behavior. Bring some marshmallows!
