A&E Happenings for Aug. 7-8

Durango artist Rebecca Koeppen will open “4 Corners Themes,” an exhibition of her recent work, on Thursday afternoon at Pine River Valley Bank. Koeppen is a member of the Pastel Society of Colorado and a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of New Mexico. “Animas Valley Wetlands,” a 16-by-20-inch painting, will be sold by sealed bid auction during the opening with 25 percent of the proceeds donated to Adaptive Sports Association. “4 Corners Themes” will remain on display through Aug. 30.
