Madigan Again

Called “one of America’s funniest female comics” by Jay Leno, stand-up comedienne Kathleen Madigan returns to the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College with her one-woman show “Madigan Again,” on Thursday. Madigan premiered “Madigan Again,” her third hour-long special, on Sept. 11 exclusively on Netflix in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Latin America. As further testament to the show’s popularity, it was released on CD and audio download on Oct. 8 and on DVD and video download on Nov. 26 to an ever-growing audience. “Madigan Again” was named by iTunes as one of the Best Comedy Albums of 2013.

The only comedian to ever go unchallenged on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and an American Comedy Award winner for “Best Female Comedian,” Madigan is a regular on “The Tonight Show,” “Letterman,” “The Conan O’Brien Show” and more. She also defeated the ever-popular Larry the Cable Guy and other notable comics to win the 2007 Sirius Radio Comedy Cup.

Beyond straight stand-up comedy, Madigan has been tapped for her comedic point of view by Dr. Phil as a special correspondent for “The Dr. Phil Show” and wrote, produced and performed on Lewis Black’s “The Root of All Evil” for Comedy Central.

Most recently she supported the U.S. military joining the sixth annual “Ron White’s Comedy Salute to the Troops” held in February in Las Vegas, with proceeds benefiting the Armed Forces Foundation.

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Madigan graduated from Southern Illinois University with a degree in journalism. She currently lives in Los Angeles though reports that her goal is to make as much money as possible and move to Ireland, “the only place Guinness tastes right.”

“Madigan Again” includes mature content and may not be appropriate for all audiences.
