Janet Kenna created this birdhouse and wrangled about a dozen other artists to do the same for a fundraising auction Wednesday night at Durango Discovery Museum. Other artists who built and decorated birdhouses for the auction are Maureen May, Autumn Cameron, Maryanne LeBlanc, Beth Flory, Cindy Smart, Cindy Cortese, Rhonda Polsfut, Bethany Bachmann and Miki Harder. Proceeds from the auction will go directly to offset Discovery Museum gardens and landscaping costs. Kenna and others are members of the Durango High Country Gardenders, who recently put in a second new garden in the retention basin near the Animas River Trail.
