I met the nicest couple recently while desperately looking for an affordable place to live. They have a small cottage on their property, but they live in the city limits and aren’t allowed to rent a detached place without paying huge fees.
I just came back home after being gone for two years, and I guess this is a hot topic here, but hey this isn’t Aspen, Telluride or California. If people are so concerned with enforcing these kinds of regulations, they should move to a gated community or, better yet, Southern California. Durango needs affordable housing today.
