One candidate for La Plata County treasurer is clearly more qualified, in my opinion, as a financial professional. Compare them.
Allison Aichele’s MBA and accounting degrees, plus her background in large corporate financial controls, plus her performance as our county treasurer, add up to the competence we need.
Her opponent’s stock trading certifications (not part of the treasurer’s job) and complete lack of audit and accounting experience do not compute.
