ALBUQUERQUE – Police in Albuquerque said a man has been found dead inside a back garage of a home that burned.

City firefighters pulled the body out Tuesday afternoon.

Fire officials said it is unclear how the man died and the cause of the fire is also unknown.

The name of the middle-aged man hasn’t been released.

The Albuquerque Journal reports that firefighters responded to the blaze about 3:30 a.m. and found the back garage filled with smoke and flames.

City police will be investigating the incident along with Albuquerque Fire Rescue.
