All welcome at 114th San Ignacio Fiesta

We are celebrating our annual San Ignacio Fiesta on the weekend of July 26-27. The San Ignacio Fiesta is an annual community celebration that has been taking place in Ignacio for 114 years and traditionally brings families, classmates, and friends together. All events are open to the public.

Our schedule of events includes:

Saturday, July 26

Parade at 10 a.m. Line up begins at 9 a.m. Due to the construction at the Ignacio High School, line up and registration will be at St. Ignatius Church. No entry fee or pre-registration is required. Cash prizes!

Family park events will be immediately following the parade at Shoshone Park until 2 p.m. Music by "Big O" DJ Service, food, games and booths. Please call 749-6830 to set up a booth at park.

The 24th annual horseshoe tournament also will be at Shoshone Park with singles and doubles competition for a $5 entry fee. Cash prizes and sweatshirts.

Other events include the SUCAP duck race and Cool Cars on Hot Summer Nights, a car cruise sponsored by the Ignacio Chamber of Commerce.

The Fiesta Dance is from 8 p.m. to midnight at Sky Ute Casino, with music by Perfeccion de Chimayo. The cost is $15 per person, with a cash bar and concessions available. The Fiesta royalty will be crowed at 10 p.m.

Sunday, July 27

Fiesta Mass, 10:30 a.m. at St. Ignatius Church. Fiesta dinner around noon, followed by music, bingo for fun and a bazaar. The raffle drawing is at 2 p.m.
