Allocate more tax dollars to housing issues

It appears that the city will be spending $3.4 million for an underpass and foot bridge. I am curious how much additionally has been spent in the last few years that is associated with this major investment.

I am also curious how much has been spent by our local government to help those who need affordable housing and to help the homeless. The city spends a lot of money on parks and recreation, and projects that present Durango as a desirable place to live and visit.

I believe its time to re-evaluate how we are spending our tax dollars and begin to help those who need a roof over their heads, a place they can call home.
