Amendment 74 chaos waiting to happen

I am joining the chorus of opposition to Amendment 74. Pure and simple, this measure goes way too far for any reasonable person to support.

It’s couched in simple language that may sound innocuous but, in its simplicity, the measure is open to broad interpretation which could end up costing Colorado taxpayers billions. As an angler, I’m afraid that Amendment 74 could undermine state and local regulations designed to protect wildlife and wildlife habitat – yes it goes that far. Some individual or corporation with deep pockets could argue and sue over wildlife regulations that they see as “regulation [that] reduces the fair market value of the property.”

This is chaos waiting to happen. We only need to look to the state of Oregon for a road map of where we are headed and it’s not pretty. Billions of dollars of claims and taxpayers footing the bill.

The choice is simple, vote NO on 74.
