50 years ago: A survey showed the majority of Fort Lewis College students had “mixed feelings” about the president’s proposed draft, which would target mostly 19-year-olds by way of a lottery system.
25 years ago: A cow broke through a window at Northpoint Mall on Main Avenue, entered and exited the building, and escaped northbound. Officials were unable to locate the bovine perpetrator after the incident.
