50 years ago: Allen J. Murdock was named college engineer for Fort Lewis College by the State Board of Agriculture, according to an announcement made by FLC President Dr. John F. Reed.
25 years ago: A former employee of the Conoco Express Mart on U.S. Highway 160 was in custody for allegedly breaking into the gas station and stealing some cash, cigarettes, magazines and beer, according to law enforcement officials.
