100 years ago: The La Plata County clerk and Logan Crawford, predatory animal inspector for Colorado, reminded area farmers of the official formula for poisoning prairie dogs, which was issued by chief of the U.S. bureau of biological survey Henry W. Henshaw.

75 years ago: Bayfield, Dolores, Mancos, Ignacio and Durango high school administrations met at Durango High School to discuss problems and possibilities for vocational and professional fields in the area.

50 years ago: Donovan C. Snyder, an 18-year-old Durango High School senior and son of Mr. and Mrs. Don E. Snyder of Durango, received a letter that offered appointment to the United States Air Force Academy.

25 years ago: A man reported to Durango Police Department that he had been offended by a “lady driver wearing glasses” who allegedly made an obscene gesture and yelled at him in the 2900 block of Main Avenue.
