75 years ago: Hundreds of shoppers flocked to stores on Main Avenue to purchase “spring hats, frocks, coats and miscellaneous outfits” during a record-breaking Easter sale.
50 years ago: Glenn Jenkins was stopped by police four and a half miles north of Durango after he hit a parked car at 2876 Main Ave. and fled the scene. The car was hit with such force that it was displaced eight feet from its original location.
25 years ago: A woman reported someone in her neighborhood who was “baiting dogs with poisoned meat” in the 3900 block of County Road 250.
