According to Jim Roberts, manager of the Main Avenue Safeway store, the Denver Safeway stores are closing, and the Cortez City Market will also close on Sunday.
25 years ago: Durango High School journalists have asked the school board to drop censorship provisions from 9-R’s new code for student publications. The current “objectionable” 9-R code was approved last August by the board in an effort to comply with a state law calling for each school district to adopt a written publications code by the beginning of the 1991-92 school year.
