25 YEARS AGO: “Durango’s Nancy Wiley will be featured on the premier of Fox Television’s new real-life action/adventure show ‘The Ultimate Challenge.’ Wiley and her partner, Eric Bader, will be shown attempting to kayak through the Sa’dan River in Indonesia, which is known by locals as the ‘River of Death.’ If successful, the pair will be the first to kayak the river’s most feared 10-kilometer stretch.”
