50 years ago: Sen. Hoadley Dean, president of the South Dakota Development Commission, was announced as the speaker at the annual Durango Chamber of Commerce banquet.

25 years ago: A vandal made his mark in Durango, painting graffiti on the West Building, 835 East Second Ave.
