50 YEARS AGO: “Frontier Airlines has reinstated its 3:33 p.m. flight to Denver. The flight was taken off the schedule during the recent nationwide airline machinists strike. The flight reaches Denver at 5 p.m. Other daily Frontier flights from Durango to Denver are at 10:08 a.m. and 10:13 p.m.”
25 YEARS AGO: “Crime Stoppers is looking for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the vandalism at Greenmount Cemetery during the nighttime hours of June 10-11. Vandals pushed over approximately 128 headstones. Informants need not give their name and could receive a substantial reward.”
