75 years ago: Tax sale of the abandoned Silverton and Northern Railroad, a nine-mile section of track, was to be postponed until Aug. 7.
50 years ago: Durango police received word from Monahans, Texas, that a pickup truck stolen from Dave Fisher of Durango had been found.
25 years ago: An $85 gold hood ornament was stolen off a 1989 Cadillac that was parked at Town Plaza.
