50 years ago: The grand opening of the Durango Historical museum was held at Second Avenue and Sixth Street. Admission was $1 for adults and 50 cents for children and students.
25 years ago: Paul Bruck, a 14-year-old boy from Grand Junction in Durango for the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic, was hospitalized after he was hit by a car that failed to yield at the intersection of Delwood Avenue and Crestview Drive.
